I am a Colorado native. I graduated from The University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006 with a degree in Journalism. I spent two semesters interning for the 850 KOA Sports Dept., which was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I had the opportunity of interviewing the likes of Matt Holliday, Todd Helton, Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Carmelo Anthony, and John Lynch to name a few. I have been a fan of all Colorado sports my entire life. My life revolves around what sports are in season.
I’ve even played some sports in my day. At the age of 8, I played pee-wee football, but I quit playing the next season because our games were on Saturdays and I was missing college football. I averaged 5.3 points per game as a starting forward for the 5-19, 2002 Brighton Bulldogs in High School. I have a tennis serve that consistently hits 75 mphs. I was an integral part of the back to back Intramural Dodgeball Champions in college. Needless to say, I’m well experienced in all sports.

My top ten greatest games that I’ve attended:
1. San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies (Oct. 1, 2007)
-After 162 games, these two teams squared off in a tiebreaker that went 13 innings. Down by 2 runs in the bottom of the 13th, the Rockies rallied to win against arguably the best closer in MLB history in Trevor Hoffman. Matt Holliday’s game winning slide home after Jamey Carroll’s sac fly is my greatest sports moment. Like Todd Helton said, if this game was played in New York, it would be considered the greatest game of all time.
2. Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Nov. 23, 2001)
-Nebraska came into town as the #1 team in the nation, led by eventual Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch. The Buffs racked up 582 total yards, led by Chris Brown’s 198 yards rushing and 6 TDs, and put up more points against Nebraska than any team had before. One of the greatest victories in CU Football history.
3. Oklahoma Sooners vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Sept. 29, 2007)
-CU put up 20 unanswered points to defeat the #3 Oklahoma Sooners, in a shocker at Folsom Field.
4. Iowa State vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Nov. 19, 1994)
-Eventual Heisman Trophy winner Rashaan Salaam broke free for a 67 yard TD to become the 4th player in NCAA history to rush for over 2,000 yards.
5. Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos (Dec. 27, 1998)
-Terrell Davis became the 4th NFL player in history to rush for over 2,000 yards. The Broncos eventually went on to win Super Bowl XXXIII that year.
6. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos (Oct. 25, 1998)
-Jason Elam kicked a 63 yard field goal before halftime, tying the NFL record for longest FG.
7. Colorado State vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Sept. 4, 2004)
-J.J. Billingsley made the game saving tackle against CSU’s Tristan Walker as time expired, giving the Buffs the win.
8. Texas A&M vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Sept. 23, 1995)
-College Gameday was on campus. The Buffs’ starting QB Koy Detmer went down with a torn ACL, and backup QB John Hessler came in and led the Buffs to a 29-21 victory over the Aggies.
9. New York Yankees vs. Colorado Rockies (June 21, 2007)
-The Rockies beat Roger Clemens, and complete the series sweep of the New York Yankees.
10. Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Colorado Buffaloes (Nov. 23, 2007)
-The Buffs were down 35-24 at halftime, but put up 20 unanswered points in the 3rd Quarter, and ultimately beat the Cornhuskers 65-51. Anytime you hang 65 points on Nebraska is a great game.
