I missed most of the Aves game because of a damn final but, I managed to catch the end. I noticed Lappy was a “star of the game”. Why? An assist three blocks and a fight. What is that? Have the Aves reached a point where blocks and fights is what we use to judge our team?
I also want to talk a bit about McLeod being the number one “star of the game”. Again, all I can say, is this what we have come to? McCleod is only as good as his line mates. He is usually out of position and he just does ridiculous stuff on the ice.
The bottom line is I would take a Stastny or Smyth long before I would want either of those two listed above and the quality players should be recognized above those with an affinity for the penalty box.
